Since 1994
Thirty years as a seafood restaurant in Madrid
We stay true to our history and to our Galician cuisine. The same cuisine our parents brought with them 30 years ago when they arrived in Madrid from Galicia, with a dream to fulfil that is now a reality thanks to all these years of work. Ogrelo has become one of the leading seafood restaurants in Madrid for Galician cuisine, both for the quality of its ingredients and for its traditional recipes.
30 years on, the second generation remains true to this idea — being the benchmark for Galician cuisine in Madrid — while adapting the concept to the times, because for us innovation and tradition are an inseparable pair.

Traditions that never change over time
Some traditions never change over time, such as going to the market every day to choose our ingredients, making sure the produce we serve is always of the highest quality and represents the fish market of our native Galicia.
Among all our specialities, if there is one type of produce that stands out, it’s the variety of seasonal seafood: our spider crab, mussel and lobster seasons.

Our vision: every piece is a jewel
We have a vision: every piece of seafood is, in truth, a jewel we take from the sea and must be treated with the utmost care. Our love for the sea and for the Galician land makes us respect every piece we work with, from a grilled hake loin or a potato omelette, to Galician-style octopus.
Our love for Galician cuisine, our dedication and our drive to improve every day are what our parents have passed on to us over these 30 years of tradition, and what stands as the hallmark of our kitchen.

The menu
Both in Galician cuisine and in the cooking we do here at Ogrelo, we know that the foundation of a good meal is the quality of the ingredients, respecting the flavour and freshness of everything we use in our dishes.
Seafood
Hake cheeks in pil pil sauce, no shortcuts on ingredients
Fish and seafood chosen daily at the market, cooked with traditional Galician techniques and served just as our parents did thirty years ago. Each cheek is cleaned and cooked fresh, with no shortcuts, so the pil pil sauce binds only with the fish’s natural gelatine. Discover this dish and the rest of our offering on the menu.

Catering & Events
Weddings, celebrations and private events
If your event needs more than a table at the restaurant, fincaogrelo.com is the catering and events venue run by the same team behind Ogrelo since 1994: weddings, celebrations and private events with the same seafood and Galician cooking, but with the space and service suited to larger groups.
